Terrena's Treasure started as a hobby of mine. I fell in love with beads. Could not get enough of them! So eventually I had so many I thought I should sell some (that was a very sad day!) Hence I started listing on eBay.com.au, I did not realise there were sooooo many other poor bead addicts out there! Everyone did not just want beads, they wanted findings, crystals, pewter charms, tools, books, stone chips etc the list was endless. So I had a choice start BA (Beaders Anonymous) or expand and supply these poor helpless souls with their needs. I decided on the later.

Expanding into business..........

I decided to drain the bank account of what little funds I could find and research some wholesale buyers. Then discovered Buy it Now on eBay and opened a shop with them. Unable to keep up with answering emails and keeping my eBay shop stocked I approached my kind hearted mum to pack up the orders for me three times a week for 50cents an hour. 
In October 2005 we finally opened our retail shop in Cessnock! Now we have constant contact and feedback from our customers and love sharing in their passion for beading.  We enjoy teaching children and adults how to discover their hidden talent in beading.  There is nothing more rewarding than seeing your students take the next step in discovering designing and making their own creative works of art!

Motivation................

My customers are my motivation. I never realised there were so many talented people out there. That is why I have started this website and opened our retail store. Not because I had a spare 11 hours a day to fill! It is about being able to explore your creativity without worrying about all the running around to get supplies and the right tools at a reasonable price, get it all under the one roof.
